My name is Terence, and I’m a second year student studying Biochemistry at Somerville College, with the hopes of continuing onto further education after I obtain my degree. For the first 18 years of my life, Hong Kong was the place I called home. Prior to Oxford, I studied at German Swiss International School, which taught the British A-level syllabus. From a young age, I had developed a keen interest in the sciences, with life sciences especially capturing my attention. Having had a passionate and inspiring chemistry teacher throughout secondary school, I fully understand the importance of enthusiasm and development of a connection between mentor and student. I enjoy working with young adults and helping them realise their dreams and ambitions. In my free time, I am a page editor for Phenotype Magazine here in Oxford, and I love playing sports such as basketball and tennis.
